Davidson Edens Louis, a unique local artist, is definitely one to know; a multi-faceted personality, with interests throughout the artistic spectrum. Davidson combines his Hatian roots with the Turks and Caicos Islands’ culture that he has come to love, producing art that reflects both Caribbean countries that he calls home. This young artist has explored many different subjects in his work, different material, different technique and muse. Though his works cover a wide spectrum, he cannot seemed to be able to pull away from portraiture. “There is something so captivating in every one’s one, something so different, so lively and so captivating. The excitement to find and to paint my next portrait never dies, and I like that”, he says. 

 

For as long as he could hang on to a paint brush properly, Davidson says has always been fascinated by vibrant colors and bold brush strokes. Countless hours were spent at high school in fining his true signature, this resulted in top marks in his Art course – and he’s not done yet! “I have so much more I want to learn and to do, I don’t even know where to start!” he reveals with excitement. 

 

Now, only 24 years old, he is currently finishing his bachelor's degree in Business and Tourism Management in Manchester, England.
